Your friend will need to upgrade his OS, purchase a Quicken Mac subscription and then convert the Quicken Mac 2016 data to the new subscription format. Quicken Mac subscription will NOT run on Yosemite. I've used such utility from VMWare several times about a decade ago but those were Windoze machines. if a P2V (physical to virtual) utility for Mac exists. If there aren't, the only thing that comes to my mind is a Virtual guest of his Yosemite machine - i.e. So is it really that bad? Are there any way to upgrade? He understands that he may have missed the boat per support. I volunteered to come out here and ask this subreddit (he's a retired COBOL guru but not as comfy with the internet or newer). ![]() His MacBook Pro can take the newest MacOS & it has 16GB RAM. ![]() ![]() It's also systemic/catch-22 as he can't upgrade to newest MacOS because he was also told that it'll break the Quicken 2016 version on his MacBook. ![]() Interesting situation because support told him there's no way to convert data to a newer version version of Quicken.
